Productivity App: Things To Do

I designed a mobile application that people can use to organize their to-do lists quickly and effectively. I gave myself a total of (2) days to rapidly design wireframes for essential tasks. The reason behind this short personal project was to practice my skills of designing quickly and efficiently as I wanted to hone my rapid prototyping skills.

DEFINE–

As I was essentially designing an organizational tool for users who had a hard time keeping in track of their to-do lists, I wanted to ensure that the interface was simple. I chose orange as the primary color simply because of its warm and energetic quality. The simplicity of the white background makes it easier for attention to stay focused on the highlighted tasks, calendar, and other essential content.

USER FLOW

I mapped out a high level flow of the key wireframes that I designed for the app. While sketching out different concepts, my goal was to make sure that the user wasn’t overwhelmed by choices and customization. A few key features are

  • Toggle between monthly vs. daily calendar & task views

  • Quick swipes to delete

  • One-tap access to creating new tasks

  • View and edit task details as needed
